If you're on a diet go ahead and skip this post.

There is nothing better than homemade ice cream in the summer. Here is my personal favorite: Butterfinger.

Here's what you'll need besides the recipe ingredients:

-A strong young lad for churning the ice cream maker (unless you have one of them fancy electric ones)

-A Jack Russell for licking up excess spills

-A dad standing in his bathroom window hollering directions

Sadly you cannot find these items at the store.

But these you can!

Butterfinger Ice Cream:
In a mixing bowl, mix together:
2 cups sugar
2 eggs
1/4 tsp salt
1 tsp vanilla extract
2 1/2 cups whipping cream
3 cups half and half

Once mixed set aside

In a food processor grind 6 packs of mini butterfingers
I like some bigger chunks in mine so i pulse it, but if you like it finer then go ahead!

Add butterfinger to ice cream base then follow the directions of your ice cream maker.

Ours was to turn

and turn...

and turn

(see this is why you need a strong young lad)

Then just sit back and enjoy the results

Something Cool.

When I was younger I was obsessed with this science store near my house. One day I had my mind brine shrimp.

Yes, Brine Shrimp.

(let me say, I was planning an Iphone post today...but brine shrimp are way cooler)

My mind was blown by this:

the ecosphere - a completely self sustaining ecosystem

Man was I excited! A pet that I didn't have to take care of!

Unfortunately the poor shrimp died after i let the sphere get too much sun.

But don't worry! I got another one when I went to college!

ashleys apology...

See? There it is..up there on the shelf on the right hand corner in front of the picture frame.

Sadly, my shrimp did not survive the journey home after freshman year.

I am ready. Third time's a charm right? Plus they are SO cool!

and really pretty.

You can buy them at Brookstone, Target, and Amazon among other retailers.

Let's talk about the Glee Finale.

...and how awesome it was. Yea, I know I'm late on this, but I just watched it on my DVR and oh snap! it was good.

Glee in the beginning was beyond fantastic, but towards the end, they were losing me. I liked Madonna and Lady Gaga but it was

But the Finale...oh the Finale!!!

I know I'm supposed to root for New Directions, but the star of the show was "Audio Adrenaline" aka Jesse St. James aka Jonathan Groff's performance of Bohemian Rhapsody.

Shut up.

I mean it, it was THAT good.

If you've been living under a rock, you can watch below.

(obviously not as good quality since it's youtube, but you get the idea)

What was YOUR favorite part of the finale?

I Went to a Backstreet Boys Concert.

No, Really, I did.

It was like I was 13, except now I could drink.

We placed bets on if the boys could dance and sing and not pass out.

Hey, they are old now!

This is me with my friend and fellow Meredith alum Sara, it was her birthday. Happy birthday Sara!

These are the great girls I went with.

This is me and another Meredith gal Jamie. Isn't she precious?

When you go to a BSB concert, it is no surprise that there were a lot of girls from the local all girls school in attendance. Go MC!

Everything was fabulous..then it started to rain.

I think we made the best of it.

Well none of the Backstreet Boy's passed out and they wore a lot of shimmery outfits.

good times.

Cute Etsy Alert!

These custom return address stamps are ah-mazing. If i owned my own property I would buy one. Actually, I may just buy one anyway because I can't stand to NOT have it. These would be a great housewarming/hostess/birthday/anytime gift. Pick one up at Primele's Etsy Shop HERE.

I have been lazy.

I am sorry.

Here is a pretty picture taken by Honey & Jam to make up for it.

Please forgive me.

Pretty please? With strawberry frosting on top?

Spartanburg Wedding.

Last weekend we traveled to Spartanburg SC for my cousin Hayes' wedding to Jessie. We braved the many thunderstorms, NASCAR race traffic and lack of internet access and it was worth it to get to see so much family and celebrate love.
